[Sales] Head of Marketing B&B
We intend to dramatically extend our foot print in the industry, this position will report directly to VP Global Sales.
Main job responsibilities
The position combines strategic planning, marketing leadership, hands-on execution, team management with also a specific mission to deploy Aldebaran offer on the educational market.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for defining and executing the optimal plan for revenue and profit maximization in conjunction with the Global Sales.
Integral to the plan will be to define the deployment strategy on the education market, the overall product roadmap definition, coordinating the regional quarterly plan with the regional sales.
This highly commercial role demands the skills of an individual who has a proven trackrecord in real marketing and channel leadership with outstanding communication, influence and persuasion skills.
1. Dimensions and Decision making:
- the role include a dedicated personal task to create and manage the education product range,
- fully embedded into the sales process,
- manage and provide marketing services support the sales teams,
- the team is in charge to Identify customer leads and distribution channels accelerating Nao sales,
- management of global sales tools e.g. sales site, extranet, video, sales support materials,
- set quarterly plan with regional sales for promotion and events initiatives insuring the success of Aldebaran products deployment,
- the Head of Marketing will have collaborative autonomy to define the marketing strategy in conjunction with the VP Global Sales,
- all products, pricing, promotion and distribution all fall under the remit of this position,
- this position is not in charge of corporate communication and assets.
2. Product Management:
- drive the education roadmap strategy, working closely with the R&D Director and Regional Business Development Managers,
- responsible for the educational product packaging definition insuring the availability of all the marketing materials,
- deliver first class education products sales materials, knowledge and support to assist sales in selling product portfolio and marketing campaigns.
3. Product Deployment:
- in charge of the overall channel communication strategy and road show plan with a personal focus and objective on the education market but not limited to,
- release of the quarterly marketing plan (budget: events plan, promotions and co-marketing activities) working closely with regional sales,
- responsible to identify customer of distribution leads on the educational market,
- consulting: sharing best practices workshop across the sales team,
- support customers communications initiatives,
- in charge to organize customer workshop training on regular basis.
4. Channels:
- take part of partner (distributors, value added resellers) identification to accelerate Nao deployment,
- define and manage Aldebaran Robotics online strategy,
- manage co-marketing and special partnership with most prestigious universities and labs,
- will manage the organization of Aldebaran events for customer and the robotics community.
5. Communication and working relationship:
- CEO, VP R&D, VP manufacturing, VP Global Sales,
- the European, Asia and North America teams,
- Regional Business Development Directors: to define the promotions plan, coordinate road show and identify the market needs and trends,
- local marketing resources.
Profile
- A solid 10 year marketing and commercial background, education industry is a plus.
- Proven track record in driving significant marketing change.
- A very good understanding of technology, hardware and software, ideally robotics.
- Product development strategy and collateral marketing management expertise.
- Experience of regional marketing management with a local/regional structure.
- Multilanguage skill is a significant advantage.
- Educational background: Master, MBA, Business School.
